In the line of fresh wines there is CALOIAN Rhein Riesling – limited edition. Oprişor wines, an expression of Inmost Oltenia’s climatic and soil characteristics, enjoy particular features. Comparing the Riesling created in Oltenia with that produced in Germany, one could identify in CALOIAN Rhein Riesling a mineral and exotic wine with nuances of grapefruit and lime, followed by a lightly acid, though fresh and delightful attack, a balanced body and a softly spicy finish, suggesting some just-picked up mango fruit and ginger. The German Riesling is characterized by a tumultuous acidity and an aromatic intensity dominated by nuances of acacia blossoms and of freshly-cut grass, with sweet hues in the background.
